SACRIFICE - The Central theme of Eid-ul-Adha

Muslims Honor Prophet Abraham on Eid ul Adha

Alton Nolen beheaded his co-worker at a food processing facility in the suburbs of Oklahoma City. It is being reported that he had recently converted to Islam and had attempted to convert his colleagues to Islam. This horrific news comes at the heels of three public executions by the so-called ‘Islamic State’.

For those who don’t know about Islam and have never met a Muslim, this news is likely to solidifying the myth that Islam is a violent religion and that killings are justified in its name. Americans must look beyond the killers of ISIS and its copycats like Alton Nolen who attempt to emulate the hateful modus operandi.

The Quran teaches Muslims to respect life:
“…….We prescribed for the children of Israel that whosoever killed a person, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind”. (5:33)
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the oldest Muslim organization in the US is committed to saving lives and serving mankind. It is engaged in humanitarian endeavors worldwide. Here in the US, it has conducted hundreds of ‘Muslims For Life’ blood drives all over the country to demonstrate the sanctity of life and honor the victims of 9/11 since 2011. To date, more than 33,000 pints of blood have been collected. Details can be read at http://www.muslimsforlife.org/. This is the real message of Islam to Muslims. Shed your own blood and save lives at all cost.

It is efforts like these that are truly representative of the spirit of giving and sacrifice that is embodied in Islamic scripture. Killers of ISIS and their copycats are not people of faith; they are agents of hate and terror pursuing their own misconstrued and vile ideology.

October 5 marks Eid-ul-Adha - the festival of sacrifice in Islam -to honor Prophet Abraham’s submission and obedience to God. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has organized a ‘Muslims For Life’ blood drive at its local mosque - just like last year - to fulfill its commitment to faith that calls out for sacrifice. Islam expects its adherents to serve humanity and considers this to be the building block of faith.

This Sunday, everyone is welcome to join in the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha and also participate in the blood drive at Bait-ul-Naseer Mosque (208 NW 7th Ct Hallandale Beach FL 33009) from 11am-4pm.

ABRAHAM HAGAR AND ISHMAEL'S SACRIFICE. An introduction to the story of obedience of the Prophet Abraham Hagar and their son Ishmael to the commandment of God.

Jews Christians and Muslims claim a common father, the Prophet Abraham, the patriarch of monotheism. Accordingly, Abraham married Sarah and Hagar (upon them be peace). From his union with Sarah, he had his second child named Isaac (peace be upon him). From Isaac’s progeny came great Prophets such as: Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Solomon, David and Jesus (upon them be peace). From his union with Hagar, Abraham had his first child named Ishmael (peace be upon him). From Ishmael’s progeny came the Prophet of Islam named Muhammad(saw). Now if so, why are the progeny of Sarah and Hagar are in such disagreement and at odds with each other?

When ask which of Abraham’s sons was the son of sacrifice, Bible users (Jews and Christians) says Isaac, – Abraham’s “only son whom he lovest”. On the other hand, the Qur’an and Muslims declares that it was Ishmael, the first son of Abraham (peace be upon him)..... Read the full article: THE SON OF SACRIFICE
